Privacy and Our processing of YOUR Personal Data

 

RightStep Management is a search, selection and recruitment firm specialising in Finance, Transformation and Consulting talent, that aims to give our candidates a step-up in their careers. We always seek people for whom, in our opinion, our clients’ opportunities present a better prospect for career development, not just increased short term compensation.

 

Therefore, there is a legitimate interest in RightStep Management keeping certain personal data on our systems, in order for us to go about our work in matching high-quality candidates with exciting new career opportunities with our clients.

 

Candidates

 

We typically keep your personal data such as name, current role, contact details, current compensation, CVs, aspirations, skills and experiences, together with notes from our conversations with you, using systems provided by a big-branded, international and reputable CRM service. In order to present a candidate to a client regarding a role, and to commence the recruitment process, we need to share certain personal data with the client concerned. However, we never share any of your personal data with any client without your express permission to share your personal data with a specific client.

We also work with trusted alliance partners, both in supporting them with candidate generation for their clients and in using them to help generate candidates for our clients. Again, we will never share any of your personal data with any alliance partner, without your express permission to share with a specific alliance partner.

 

Each time we believe there is merit in exploring opportunities that involve a new party, we will never share your data without your express permission.

Although we may keep your data, including your CV, on our database for a reasonable time for future reference, we recognise that for any future opportunity, there will be a need to revisit all data, including the CV, on file, since over time these data become out-of-date. Since we never share personal data with a client without express permission, there will always be an opportunity for candidates to refresh their data and instruct us to delete those which are now out of-date.

 

Clients

 

Similarly, with client records, we keep personal data on our CRM to help communicate with our clients and keep records such as contact details, company, job titles and assignments worked. We will never share any client personal data without express permission of the client.

 

Your access to your information and rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of all information held in our records. Where providing a copy of records might compromise another individual’s personal data, the data must be redacted appropriately. Please email our data controller: tony.vadasz@rightstepmanagement.com if you would like a copy. We will charge a small administration fee for this service proportionate to the work required to fulfil this obligation.

You also have the right ‘to be forgotten’ - to request that your data be deleted from our records completely, free of charge.
